Our Providers

Laura Gillespie, PA-C was born in Atlanta, Georgia and raised in Suwanee, Georgia. She attended the University of Georgia and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She then pursued and earned a Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree at Augusta University. She joined Atlanta Diabetes Associates in 2020.

Laura was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at two years old. She has always been passionate about being involved in the type 1 diabetes community and is an active volunteer with Camp Kudzu. She hopes to offer all of her patients a sense of understanding, empathy, and encouragement. She encourages an open dialogue and supports patient input being involved at each office visit.

Laura is a member of the Georgia Association of Physician Assistants and the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She currently resides in Brookhaven, Georgia and is an avid runner. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, being outdoors, and cheering on all Atlanta sports teams as well as the Georgia Bulldogs.
