Dr. Worthy is a native Atlantan who joined Atlanta Diabetes Associates in January 2026. She earned her medical degree from Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine in Pennsylvania. Then, she returned to Atlanta to complete Internal Medicine Residency with Morehouse School of Medicine at Grady Hospital and the Atlanta VA Medical Center. She subsequently completed a clinical and research fellowship in the Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Obesity Branch of the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK). She holds board certifications in both Internal Medicine and Endocrinology.

She practices general endocrinology, but has special interests in cardiometabolic disorders and rare endocrinopathies. She enjoys the combination of clinical practice and research as a path towards improving care for her individual patients and contributing to positive population-level health changes. She believes both prevention and management of chronic illnesses require a team approach, so patient education and empowerment are central to her care. She works with patients and families to understand their personal health goals and incorporate evidence-based medicine for holistic care.

Outside of work, Dr. Worthy enjoys spending time with her husband and their two children.
