Dr. Carson Womack joined Atlanta Diabetes Associates in February 2025. Clinically he will be focusing on the treatment of diabetes both type 1 and 2. He has had type 1 since the age of 10 and is constantly seeking the best treatment and technology. Having lived with diabetes the majority of his life, he’s passionate about treating his patients and making them as comfortable as possible.

Previously, he was a dedicated hospitalist at Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center in Rome, GA, committed to providing compassionate, human-centered care. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Redmond Regional Medical Center and earned his M.D. from Mercer University School of Medicine. With a strong foundation in research, patient safety, and infectious disease management, he actively contributes to advancing medical knowledge through case presentations and clinical committee work.

Carson and his wife Alayna have two little boys; Eli and Emmett. They are thrilled to be back in their hometown of Atlanta.
