Pat Richardson is a Nurse Practitioner whose nursing career started in 1970 after obtaining a Bachelors in Nursing from St Louis University. After years as a staff member and supervisor in numerous types of Critical Care units she received her Masters in Nursing at Emory University in 1979. It was then after meeting Dr. Paul Davidson at Emory Clinic, that Pat dedicated the rest of her career to Diabetes.
Pat and Dr. Davidson have since opened 4 Diabetes Training and Management Centers at various hospitals in Atlanta joined along the way by the other physicians and providers of the current practice team. After post-graduate work, allowing her to practice and become licensed as a N.P., Pat became part of the ADA practice in 1995. Pat performs physical examinations and follow-up visits to assist clients with diabetes and the endocrine team.
Due to the encouragement and training of her physician colleagues, Pat, besides possessing excellent diabetes management knowledge, also can provide guidance and sound decision-making for many endocrine related problems. Pat lives in the Emory/Druid Hills area and has lived in Atlanta longer than any other city, but has also called London, St. Louis, Houston and San Antonio home. She works hard to stay fit and exercise and loves outdoor activities, gardening and travel.
