Caller ID Spoofing Notification

Atlanta Diabetes Associates believes that its telephone number has been used as part of a caller ID spoofing scam. Caller ID allows an individual to identify a caller before the telephone is answered. “Caller ID spoofing” happens when a caller deliberately falsifies the information shown on caller ID. Altering or falsifying caller ID information is against the law. We are working to investigate, using all resources available to us, to resolve this issue. We apologize for any inconvenience.

The telephone calls are being made by an unknown entity and delivers an automated system message to solicit you for unused or surplus diabetes supply prompting you call Atlanta Diabetes Associates for more information. In many cases, people trust that the information shown on caller ID is accurate. These calls have not originated nor approved by Atlanta Diabetes Associates. We have determined that the calls are not specific to our patient population alone, even though many of our own patients are receiving calls.

If you believe you have been spoofed by caller ID, you can file a complaint with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). To do so, visit
